This is the first Ghost Flute & Dice album. Released in 2011 by Morningside Records and Obsolete Media Objects. Its a collection of instrumental songs for solopiano, but there is so much distortion, delay, whammy and plain amplification that it sounds like a whole band playing. There are plenty of these still available, and all of them in the nice handmade cover.
This album is based on a very funky way to mic up an acoustic piano and run the sound through effect pedals. Its like what guitarists have been doing for a looong time, but with a piano. And it totally works! The result is an album of instrumental music that you might place somewhere between Arthur Russell’s “World Of Echo” and Jan Johansson’s “Jazz på Svenska”.

The press wrote:
"The music is both ambient and grandiose, and barred in and compressed. It is white, clean and clinical but at the same time raw, rhythmic and colourful // simply deserves a spot in any music collection." WONDERS MAKE JOY
"But the fascinating music and compositional method, together with Almholts apparent pleasure of playing at the festival, made the concert one of the absolute highlights of the day." - UNDERTONER
